Slovakia’s health ministry said its transsexualism standard was for adults over 18 only, then cancelled it. No official pediatric puberty-blocker protocol is listed.
The health ministry, quoted in official-press coverage, said the 2023 adult transsexualism standard never applied to children and cancelled it from 3 April 2024. The Slovak Psychiatric Society republished that adult text as a professional-society standard. No official pediatric puberty-blocker clinic or protocol is listed. The constitutional sex-definition and parental-consent rules are school and status rules.

Constitutional Act 255/2025, adopted 26 September 2025 and in force from 1 November 2025, inserts Article 41(7) so that upbringing and education of children in forming intimate life and sexual behaviour may be provided only with the consent of the legal representative. Age-appropriate education on health, bodily integrity, and abuse prevention remains part of general education. New Article 52a states that the Slovak Republic recognises only the biologically determined sex of man and woman. Those are school and status rules.
