Singapore has official Ministry of Health clinical guidelines on youth gender dysphoria. Psychological support should be the first line of treatment. Hormonal and surgical treatment should not be offered to children and adolescents under 18. MOH does not recommend puberty blockers for minors with gender dysphoria, citing insufficient evidence of safety or significant clinical benefit. For ages 18 to 20, hormonal therapy excluding puberty blockers may be offered only in exceptional circumstances, with clear evidence of benefit, multidisciplinary agreement, and consent from the adolescent and parents.
