The Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Act, 2018, published in the Gazette of Pakistan after presidential assent on 18 May 2018, is an identity and welfare statute. It provides for recognition of identity, a non-discrimination rule, and government welfare duties. The Ministry of Human Rights and the Senate host the official Act text.
